“Eugene, will you just- Stop running around! Get off the bed right now!”
Tulio felt like ripping out his hair as he tried to catch his younger son running around the small cottage. He’ll still never be used to children. What has gotten this boy all hyped up?
Eugene laughed triumphantly, only to bump into someone. Miguel returned from the kingdom, holding bags of food. Tulio panted, catching his breath. “Finally, you’re back.” He told Miguel.
“Having some troubles, love?” Miguel asked, smiling.
“You have no idea.” Tulio quietly told Miguel, who chuckled. He turn back around to see Eugene on the table. “Eugene, get down from there!”
“I am not Eugene!” The boy yelled. He picked up a fork, pretending it was a sword. “I am Flynn Rider! The world’s most famous hero ever!”
Tulio face-palmed as Miguel let out an amused laugh. “I knew reading him that book wasn’t a good idea.” Tulio grumbled. Miguel placed the bags down and lifted his son off the table. “Oh, let the boy have his fun.” Miguel said. He gave Eugene a kiss on his forehead, which made the boy frown with distaste.
